January 6th - Happy New Year! We took a flying
(actually we drove) trip to Three Hills over New Years and had a great time
seeing the whole family! All 7 of us kids and all the grand children were together
at mom and dads (and yes, mom survived!). It was great seeing all 17
grandkids there and grandma Blanche also. It was good to see Don & Val
and their family too. The 2 new babies were of course the carter of
attention. We went swimming twice at the Three Hills pool and then swam at
the hotel we stayed in on the way home. Great trip and so thankful to Yah
for a great family on both sides of the border!

January 13th - Ross (the 9th) and Vanessa (the 11th) are
older! Hollis will be 16 on the 15th and that seems hard to believe!
He is a fine young man and I am proud to be his dad. Cloverdale had their
Holiday party on the 11th and Vanessa & I went and enjoyed a very good
meal. It has been very windy (big surprise there I am sure!) and cold but
it is January in North Dakota so that is to be expected I suppose!
January 19th - Hollis is the big 16! And he is big!
Taller than me! I took him to the Two Towers Tuesday night (got home
around 1:00 AM) and then on Wednesday evening we had the cousins and Grandpa and
Grandma over for cake and stuff. Grandma Grace came over also. It
was a good time of celebrating a wonderful young man! Today he has gone to
Bismarck with his good friend Craig Holden.

January 27th - Some snow and wind and cold weather but after all
it is January! Hollis has been taking bass guitar lessons and enjoying
that. Jasper is still taking classical and just finished the last song on
book 2! We covet your prayers for continued safety as so many trips
are made to Bismarck each week. Thanks be to Yah for His loving hand
of protection on us.
