December 4th - Much news! We are pregnant - due July 6th or so! I moved my job at Cloverdale over to the Cloverdale Country Store - The Chicken Pox is over and Zion did not get a bad case like Jazmyn did. The weather is wintry but not much snow. Jasper and Starlit are still enjoying ninth grade and doing well. Will update you more next week. December 11th - My first week at the store was tiring but fun! Working with customers and the Russell brothers, Steven and Craig has been fun. Jazmyn had a bad 2 day flu and I mean bad! The rest of us did not though so that was good. The Suzuki Christmas recital was on Saturday and went well. One of the local television stations came and did an interview with Vanessa about the ECE class and filmed some of the class. Not sure when they will air that but they will let us know and they said after that it is available on the internet so will keep you posted. December 18th - Second week at the store was wild! I had a nasty bought of flu myself on Tuesday night. Don't ever want to go through that again. The kids and I played for a volunteer luncheon at one of the hospitals on Tuesday and for all 4 of the Cloverdale employee luncheons on Thursday. Starlit had her last Strolling strings gig for this holiday season this past weekend. The first night of Hanukkah was Friday night. My parents are coming down and should be here Wednesday and will stay for a week or so. December 26th - What a week! My parents arrived Wednesday and Friday night we had Ed & Bev, Vanessa's parents, my parents and some friends from Crosby Art & Betty over for the last night of Hanukkah - much food and egg nog and home made candies and - well we had fun! Then on Saturday Vanessa and I drove out to Fargo to see George (and do some shopping) George had been planning to come out but was not feeling well. He is feeling better now. On Sunday we all went up to the ranch and had a good Christmas eve and then had our Sunday breakfast and gift giving with my parents and Hollis & Jenny. Then it was back to the ranch for Christmas lunch (gramma Grace did not want to travel so we had both days up there) and more food and fellowship. We also participated in a group that did music while anyone who wanted to came and had brunch at the Salvation Army building on Sunday morning. |
