September 7th - Labor Day weekend was wet!  Saturday was a complete downpour but Sunday was nicer and Monday was a beautiful day!  Went over to Nelson Lake and had some fun!  Vanessa's aunt and uncle from Indiana (Byron and Yvonne) along with aunt Estelle (from Vinton Iowa) arrived on Thursday evening to spend the weekend and then take gramma Grace back to Indiana.  It was sure great to be able to spend time with them.  They left Monday morning and we will sure miss gramma again!  School started for the Lorentzen Home school on Tuesday.  Nick & Holly opened their store for business (it is called The Final Word) on Tuesday also.

September 13th - We celebrated Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) on Saturday.  We had 27 people in our little house!  Close fellowship in more ways than one!  G-d is so good and gracious to us.  Zion continues to grow and do new stuff.  Last week he said ma-ma and da-da!  I am not sure he actually meant to (or knows what it means) but he sure enough said it!  He is 5 months old now.  It rained and was windy most of the week.  It seems that what ever the weather is, there is always wind!  I pray that it can remind us all of the refreshing wind of the Spirit blowing in our lives.

September 20th - Zion actually said Hi - da-da!  Not that I am saying he knows what it means but he sure knows it tickles us!  He is a lot of fun.  I guess we don't call him grinny for nothing.  We went to the Jewish Temple here in Bismarck for the Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) service last night.  Interesting and wonderful words were said.  I found it very meaningful.  We are going to be celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles this coming weekend.  Setting up some tents and having quite a few other families over.  Will let you know what is happening.

September 27th - Excellent weekend!  Although it rained on & off Saturday and Sunday we had a good time celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles.  4 families showed up and we had setup Ross's army tent (a 16' by 16') so we had a place to sit in even though it rained.  Janice has been in the hospital since the 17th and had a kidney stone removed on the 18th.  That led to some complications due to a blocked and then ruptured bladder ............ but she is doing a lot better now!  Please continue to lift her (and all of us as it is very draining on everyone especially Ross) up in your prayers.

September 28th - Janice came home yesterday!  She is still weak and sore but at least out of the hospital.  PTL!
